Solar CCTV System

A solar CCTV system delivers reliable, around-the-clock video surveillance where grid power is unavailable, unstable, expensive to extend or slow to permit — remote roads, borders and perimeters, ports and yards, construction sites, farms and rural communities. As a manufacturer, Inlux Solar engineers the part that actually decides whether your cameras stay online: the off-grid power platform, the pole and mounting structure, and the security lighting that lets a camera see at night. We integrate the cameras, communications and lighting your project specifies into one self-contained, energy-balanced unit — sized from a real load-and-autonomy calculation, not a stock package.

We work with project owners, EPC contractors, municipalities, security integrators and distributors — supporting system sizing, pole configuration, camera power-load coordination, structural design, bill of materials and tender-ready documentation from early planning through delivery.

What Is a Solar CCTV System?

A solar CCTV system is an independent surveillance unit powered by solar energy. During the day the PV module charges the battery; at night and through cloudy spells the battery powers the camera, communications, controller and any security lighting. It is not “a camera with a panel” — uptime depends on sizing the whole system to the true 24-hour load. Every Inlux unit is supplied as a balanced energy platform, with cameras, recording and connectivity integrated to your specification or sourced to match.

  • Solar PV module — mono-crystalline panel sized to recharge the daily load plus reserve, tilted for site latitude.
  • LiFePO4 battery — long-cycle lithium storage sized for multi-day autonomy and stable wide-temperature operation.
  • وحدة تحكم MPPT — maximum-power-point charging with intelligent load management that protects the battery and prioritises uptime.
  • Pole & mounting platform — single or multi-function pole engineered for wind load, with brackets for camera, panel and luminaire.
  • Camera & recording — fixed, PTZ or IR cameras with edge storage, client-specified or coordinated, compatible with your VMS.
  • Connectivity — 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi bridge, point-to-point wireless or fibre hand-off, matched to site coverage.
  • Equipment enclosure — weather-sealed housing for battery, controller and comms, with heat dissipation and service access.
  • Security luminaire (optional) — matched LED lighting for the vertical illuminance cameras need to recognise faces and plates at night.

Where Solar CCTV Systems Earn Their Keep

Roads, highways & remote corridors

Incident and traffic monitoring on rural roads, bridges and work zones far from any grid or telecom trench.

Perimeters & fence lines

Gates, blind spots and access points at factories, warehouses, logistics parks, utilities and restricted areas.

Parking lots & open yards

Container stacks, storage and loading zones — camera coverage plus optional lighting to remove dark spots.

Construction & temporary sites

Fast, relocatable coverage before permanent power exists, with minimal civil works.

Public spaces & smart city

Parks, squares, campuses and communities, integrated with smart-pole or solar-lighting infrastructure.

Farms, mines & remote facilities

Agricultural sites, mining roads, water works and equipment yards where grid connection is uneconomical.

Solar CCTV vs Grid-Powered CCTV

Grid-powered CCTV is the right answer where stable mains already exists. Solar CCTV is built for the many outdoor sites where cabling is slow, costly or impractical.

What Makes a Solar CCTV System Reliable

1. Honest energy sizing

Cameras run 24/7; PTZ, IR illuminators, 4G routers, NVRs and lighting all add load. We size PV and battery to the real daily watt-hours — not the camera nameplate.

2. Worst-case autonomy

Surveillance can’t go dark after a few cloudy days. Battery reserve is set for the worst low-sun period at your latitude, with controlled load-shedding and predictable restart.

3. Lighting tuned to optics

Where lighting is added, CCT (typically 3000–4000 K), CRI ≥80 and glare control are matched to the camera’s WDR/IR so the scene is bright without blooming the lens.

4. Pole height & camera angle

Field of view, tilt, panel orientation, wind load, enclosure position and service access are all set so the structure supports — not limits — the cameras.

5. Connectivity planning

We confirm cellular signal, data and storage needs (edge vs cloud), monitoring-centre location and remote access before locking the comms design.

6. Built for unattended sites

Sealed enclosures, IP/IK-rated parts, tamper-resistant fixings and corrosion protection for coastal, desert and industrial environments.

Four Ways to Configure It

Solar CCTV Pole

Standalone off-grid monitoring for remote roads, perimeters, parking, farms and temporary sites — the practical choice when independent video is the core need.

Solar CCTV + LED Security Light

Camera and matched illumination on one pole for gates, yards and fence lines where night visibility matters for both people and cameras. See perimeter & security lighting.

Integrated with Solar Street Lighting

For roads, campuses and municipal projects, fold CCTV into the solar smart street lighting infrastructure to avoid duplicate poles and a cleaner layout.

Solar CCTV Smart Pole

For smart-city deployments, CCTV on a multi-function smart pole alongside lighting, comms, sensing or display.

Solar CCTV System — Frequently Asked Questions

What is a solar CCTV system?

A video surveillance system powered by solar panels and battery storage. The panel charges the battery by day; the battery powers the camera, communications, controller and optional lighting at night. It is designed for outdoor sites where grid power is unavailable, unstable, costly or slow to install.

Can a solar CCTV system work at night?

Yes. Nighttime operation runs on the LiFePO4 battery charged during the day. Where night-time image quality matters, we add a matched LED luminaire so the camera has the vertical illuminance it needs to recognise faces, plates and apparel.

How many backup days can it support?

Autonomy is a design choice, not a fixed number. We size the battery for the worst low-sun period at your latitude and the real 24/7 load of your cameras, illuminators and communications — so the system keeps recording through cloudy stretches and recovers predictably afterwards.

Does Inlux Solar manufacture the cameras?

No. We manufacture the solar power system, poles and security lighting, and integrate CCTV/IP cameras you specify — or source cameras to suit your coverage and budget. This keeps you free to standardise on the camera brand and VMS your security team already uses.

Will it work with my existing cameras and recording platform?

Compatibility needs to be checked for the specified equipment. Send the camera and VMS models, supply voltage, peak and daily load, connectors, network interface and required functions. Agree the power and mounting interfaces, integration responsibilities and acceptance test before confirming that existing cameras or software can be retained.

Can it work with 4G cameras?

Yes, where cellular signal is available. We confirm signal strength, data usage, SIM cost and storage method (edge or cloud) before finalising the design. Point-to-point wireless or fibre hand-off is used where coverage allows.

Can LED lighting be added to the same pole?

Yes, and it is often the difference between a usable and a useless night image. The luminaire is tuned to the camera — correct vertical illuminance, CCT and CRI with glare control — and its consumption is folded into the same energy budget.

Is it suitable for construction and temporary sites?

Yes. It deploys before permanent power exists, needs minimal civil works and can be relocated — ideal for work zones, material yards, access points and remote sites.

Solar or grid-powered — which is better?

Solar wins where the grid is far, unreliable or costly to extend, and where rapid or relocatable deployment matters. Where stable mains exists, grid or hybrid may be more economical. We can provide a side-by-side comparison so the decision is based on numbers.

Can the system be customized?

Yes. Panel size, battery capacity, pole height, camera bracket, equipment box, lighting option, communication method and appearance are all adjustable to site conditions, with OEM/ODM available for qualified orders.

What documentation do I receive?

An energy and autonomy calculation, bill of materials, system configuration proposal, wiring diagram, pole and foundation reference drawing, the camera power/mounting interface spec, connectivity options, optional lighting photometry, and installation, O&M and warranty documents.
