Solution — FALCON & JAGUAR All-In-Two

To serve the world’s largest and densest refugee camp, we deployed FALCON y JAGUAR all-in-two configurations that pair high-efficiency LED engines with optics tuned for pathways and communal areas. The separated PV panel maximizes charging yield, while autonomy is tailored to monsoon patterns to maintain dependable lighting through cloudy periods. Integrated with the goals of UN SAFE+2, the solution cuts reliance on firewood and mitigates soil erosion, improving safety and air quality across the camp. Factory acceptance tests and on-site commissioning ensured consistency across batches and rapid, low-disruption installation.

Buyers running similar monsoon-zone or humanitarian RFQs can reference our solar street light procurement checklist for the IP66, LiFePO4, and autonomy criteria applied to this deployment.

Implementación y control de calidad

Kutupalong, located in the coastal district of Cox’s Bazar, is currently the largest refugee camp in the world. The so-called mega camp is home to around 800,000 predominantly Rohingya refugees that have fled violent persecution in neighboring Myanmar. Kutupalong isn’t only the largest camp in the world, it is also the most densely populated and has exceeded its capacity. Most of the refugees have no adequate access to clean water, sanitary facilities, or healthcare. The impending monsoon season also poses a huge threat to thousands of Rohingya families living in makeshift shelters in the camp.

Inlux Solar, an ISO 9001-certified solar street light manufacturer, leads efforts in enhancing the Cox’s Bazar refugee camps’ ecological sustainability and living conditions.

Our contribution to the United Nations’ SAFE+2 program has been pivotal, providing 4,000 sets of solar street lights that light up the paths of nearly one million Rohingya refugees.

These eco-friendly lights have been instrumental in reducing the environmental strain caused by the need for firewood, which had led to deforestation and soil erosion in the region. By harnessing solar energy, our lights decrease the refugees’ reliance on traditional fuel sources, thus protecting the local ecosystem and improving overall health and safety.
The SAFE+2 initiative, launched by the UN in 2019, has been effectively supported by Inlux Solar’s solar street lights, which have become a cornerstone of the program’s environmental restoration efforts. Our lighting solution plays a key role in the revegetation of the camps and the protection of approximately 12,000 hectares of forest land.
Moreover, the integration of our solar street lights with the SAFE+2 program’s environmental activities has bolstered the self-reliance of the refugee camps. From home gardening to waste recycling, our lights power a range of initiatives that contribute to the local economy and community resilience.

As the Rohingya refugees await their return to Myanmar, Inlux Solar’s solar street lights stand as a beacon of hope, ensuring their safety and well-being while they rely on humanitarian aid. Our dedication to delivering sustainable lighting solutions underscores our commitment to making a positive impact on global communities facing adversity.
