Inlux Solar completa el proyecto de 100 unidades de luminarias decorativas solares ATHENA en Sierra Leona

On March 5, 2025, Inlux Solar successfully completed the deployment of 100 units of ATHENA Solar Decorative Street Lights in Sierra Leone. The project features 8.5-meter cast aluminum poles, 80W high-brightness LED luminaires, and 40Ah/25.6V LiFePO₄ battery systems, delivering reliable and visually appealing lighting for local communities.

A Solution to Local Challenges

Many regions in Sierra Leone face long-term challenges such as unstable grid power, high electricity costs, and the difficulty of installing traditional street lighting that requires trenching, cabling, and transformer access.
The ATHENA solar lighting system directly addresses these issues:

  • No trenching, no cabling — significantly reduces installation time and labor cost.
  • Independent solar power — ensures stable operation even in areas without grid connection.
  • Low operating cost — zero electricity bill and minimal maintenance.
  • Quick installation — Plug & Play design allows each unit to be set up efficiently on-site.

With solar charging and battery storage, the system operates from dusk till dawn, providing consistent lighting throughout the year.

Why the ATHENA Series? Elegant Design + High Performance

The ATHENA Series combines classical aesthetics with professional-grade performance, making it ideal for parks, residential communities, main streets, and commercial districts.

Ventajas principales

  • Decorative pole + classic fixture design enhances the overall landscape.
  • Separate solar panel design ensures optimal tilt angle and maximum charging efficiency.
  • LiFePO₄ battery with 10+ years lifespan (over 5000 deep cycles).
  • 5050 LED chips delivering >250 lm/W for extremely bright, energy-efficient illumination.
  • IP65–IP66 weatherproof construction for reliable operation under Sierra Leone’s hot and humid climate.

Stable Lighting in All Climates

With temperature-compensated control, efficient heat dissipation, and a robust BMS system, ATHENA performs reliably in environments ranging from –20°C to 60°C, ensuring long-term stability and safety.

Positive Impact on the Local Community

After installation, the lighting quality of the area has significantly improved:

  • Safer night travel for pedestrians and vehicles.
  • Brighter public spaces supporting community activities.
  • Improved commercial visibility for nearby shops and night-time operations.
  • A more pleasant nighttime landscape thanks to the decorative design.

Local residents and community managers noted that the system not only reduces lighting-related expenses but also brings a renewed sense of safety and vibrancy to the area.
