298 farolas solares «All-in-Two» de JAGUAR para un proyecto de alumbrado público en Benín

Project Background

In 2025, Inlux Solar supplied 298 sets of JAGUAR AIT5 All-in-Two Solar Street Lights for a public lighting project in Benin. The project was designed to improve nighttime visibility for local roads, community access areas, and outdoor public spaces where stable lighting was needed to support safer movement after dark.

For many infrastructure lighting projects in West Africa, reliable road illumination is not only a matter of brightness. It also affects pedestrian movement, vehicle safety, public activity, and the usability of local roads during evening hours. In locations where grid extension or conventional cable-based street lighting is difficult, solar street lights provide a practical and independent lighting solution.

The 298-set deployment used solar-powered JAGUAR AIT5 systems to support local infrastructure upgrading while reducing dependence on grid electricity. With an off-grid design, each lighting unit can operate independently through its own solar panel, battery, controller, and LED fixture, making the system suitable for distributed public lighting applications.

Why the JAGUAR AIT5 All-in-Two Solar Street Light Was Selected

The JAGUAR AIT5 All-in-Two Solar Street Light was selected for this Benin project because of its separated two-piece structure, strong lighting output, and project-grade solar configuration. Compared with fully integrated all-in-one lights, the all-in-two design allows the solar panel and light fixture to be arranged more flexibly according to local sunlight conditions and installation requirements.

For this project, the lighting system was configured with 80W LED power and a LiFePO4 50Ah/25.6V battery system. This configuration was selected to provide strong nighttime illumination while supporting stable solar-powered operation. The LiFePO4 battery design also helps improve cycle life, thermal stability, and long-term reliability in outdoor environments.

The JAGUAR AIT5 series is suitable for public roads, community roads, village access routes, residential areas, and infrastructure lighting projects where stable brightness, easy installation, and low maintenance are important. Its modular structure also makes it easier for project teams to transport, install, and maintain the system across multiple locations.

Deployment Process

The project involved the delivery and deployment of 298 solar street light systems for multiple public lighting sites in Benin. Because the installation areas were distributed rather than limited to one single location, the project required a standardized lighting solution that could deliver consistent performance across different road and community environments.

Before shipment, the lighting systems were prepared according to project requirements, including LED power, battery configuration, solar charging design, and installation accessories. This helped ensure that the project team could install the lights efficiently after arrival and reduce unnecessary on-site adjustment work.

The solar-powered design also simplified the deployment process. Since each unit operates independently, the system does not require long-distance trenching, underground cabling, or connection to an existing power grid. This makes the solution especially practical for infrastructure projects where installation speed, energy independence, and maintenance simplicity are key requirements.

Project Outcome

After deployment, the 298 JAGUAR AIT5 solar street lights improved nighttime visibility across the project areas and supported safer movement for pedestrians, vehicles, and local residents. Brighter public roads and outdoor access areas help make evening travel more comfortable and improve the usability of community spaces after sunset.

The project also demonstrated the value of solar street lights for infrastructure improvement in markets where grid-based lighting can be difficult, expensive, or slow to deploy. By using independent solar lighting systems, project owners can improve public lighting conditions while reducing the need for complex electrical infrastructure.

For Inlux Solar, this Benin project is another example of how project-grade solar street lights can support public infrastructure development in African markets. With the right product configuration, battery capacity, LED output, and installation design, solar street lighting can provide a practical and maintainable solution for roads, communities, and public spaces.
