The sunshine in May shines into the workshop through the glass curtain wall, and we welcome the Benin customer delegation from afar. As an important economic and trade partner in West Africa, this visit is not only to deepen business cooperation, but also an opportunity for cultural integration.
The customer came this time to confirm the 1,000 sets of street lamps project that is about to be confirmed. This project is sponsored by the United Nations Children’s Fund in Benin. Because we have supplied many similar projects, UNICEF is very satisfied with our products and requires customers to continue to purchase more of our lamps.

When the delegation arrived, the factory director personally greeted them in French “Bienvenue”, which instantly shortened the distance. Mr. Abdul, the customer representative, showed great interest in the automated production line and kept asking about the equipment parameters through the translator. When he saw that the Chinese technicians completed the mold replacement in just 10 minutes, he couldn’t help but give a thumbs up: “C’est incroyable!” (It’s incredible)” During the quality inspection, Benin merchants paid special attention to rust prevention and high temperature resistance processes. It turned out that the local high temperature and humid climate has extremely high requirements for product corrosion resistance. The engineer immediately demonstrated the salt spray test and the battery high temperature charge and discharge test process, and promised to adjust the technical parameters and galvanizing formula according to the Benin environment.
The interesting things that happened during lunch are unforgettable. The customer was embarrassed to see the mapo tofu in the cafeteria, and the administrative department urgently prepared roast chicken and couscous (North African millet). Abdul said with emotion: “This respect is more precious than the terms of the contract.” At the afternoon negotiation meeting, the two sides reached a consensus on the establishment of a localized after-sales service center, and the Benin side also invited us to participate in the Cotonou International Trade Fair next year.
Before leaving, the customer deliberately changed into the colorful traditional African costume “Boubou” and took a group photo with all employees in the factory. The bright banner “China-Benin Friendship Lasts Forever” in the background contrasts with the African costumes, becoming the most vivid footnote to the cooperation.
