Traffic Light Poles & Traffic Signal Structures

The Traffic Light Pole is a 3–7.5 m steel structure designed for intersections, ensuring clear driver visibility and stable, long-term signal support in urban and suburban networks.

Description

Features

Designed for modern roadway safety, Inlux Solar’s traffic light poles provide a robust support structure for traffic signals, pedestrian crossing lights, and monitoring cameras. Our poles are engineered from high-grade Q235/Q355 steel, ensuring stability in high-traffic intersections and harsh weather conditions.

Specify the galvanizing or coating standard, exposure conditions and inspection requirements for the quoted traffic signal structure. Service life and maintenance depend on the project environment, installation and inspection plan; a finish description is not a maintenance-free guarantee. Whether you need a standard straight pole or a complex cantilever mast arm design, we offer full customization to meet specific municipal or highway project requirements.

Key Features & Engineering Details

1. Superior Corrosion Resistance Every traffic pole undergoes a rigorous hot-dip galvanizing process. Both the inner and outer surfaces are treated to prevent rust, ensuring longevity even in coastal or high-humidity environments. Where ISO 1461 is specified, confirm the applicable coating requirements and inspection evidence for the quoted component and order.

2. High-Strength Welding Technology Safety is paramount for overhead structures. We utilize automatic submerged arc welding to ensure smooth, flaw-free seams. Specify the weld details, inspection records and project fatigue-design requirements for the mast arm and shaft. A welding-process description alone does not establish resistance to wind-induced fatigue.

3. Easy Installation & Maintenance Our poles come with a pre-designed base plate and anchor bolt template, simplifying the foundation work. Confirm the handhole reinforcement, access-door hardware and wiring access in the approved drawing and quotation.

Manufacturing Procedures

High-strength welding detail on steel traffic structure

Welding

Our light poles are formed from a single sheet of steel. We use full welding, both inside and out, at the connection between the main pole and the flange, further enhancing the pole’s strength.

Hot-Dip Galvanization

Specify the hot-dip galvanizing requirements for the quoted steel components and request the coating inspection record. Corrosion performance depends on exposure, coating condition, handling, installation and maintenance; it is not a fixed service-life guarantee.

Powder Coating

Our electrostatic powder coating process not only allows for custom colors but also adds an extra protective layer, further extending the pole’s lifespan.

FAQ

Provide the traffic authority’s adopted specification, edition, amendments and approval requirements. If AASHTO structural-support specifications are required, the quotation should identify the applicable design basis, calculations, drawings and review responsibilities for the exact pole and mast-arm configuration. A general product-page statement is not project approval.

Absolutely. We manufacture cantilever traffic poles with arm lengths ranging from 1 meter to over 15 meters to span multiple lanes. We advise on the pole thickness required based on the arm length and wind load in your region.

Lead time depends on quantity, drawing approval, material and finish requirements, inspection and shipping scope. Send the required delivery date with your RFQ and ask for the manufacturing and dispatch milestones in the written quotation.

Traffic Signal Pole RFQ: Define the Structure and Interfaces

Send the traffic authority’s drawing or schedule, pole and mast-arm geometry, attached signal and camera loads, projected areas, site design criteria, finish, base and anchor interfaces, quantity and destination. State who provides the foundation design, electrical equipment, installation and final approval. The gallery illustrates a signal-support arrangement; confirm the supply list separately rather than assuming signal heads, controllers or cameras are included.
