Glare & Spill Control for High Mast Lighting
Glare and spill are often the real constraints in ports, yards, and stadiums. This guide standardizes what to request and what to verify.
Where This Guide Fits
- Run this bundle: Yard/Industrial Bundle · Stadium Bundle
- Resource: Photometrics Center
- System types: AC · Stadium
What to define before suppliers quote
- Where spill must be minimized (roads, residences, neighboring sites)
- Any aiming/tilt limits
- Target area boundaries and calculation grid
- Whether shields/visors are allowed/required
What to request (deliverables)
- IES/LDT + simulation report that includes spill/glare notes
- Layout proposal with aiming notes and tilt limits
- Optics type and any shielding accessory list
RFQ clauses (copy/paste)
- Supplier must address glare/spill constraints in the layout proposal and state aiming/tilt limits.
- Supplier must include shielding/visors if required and list them in BOM.
- Provide IES/LDT + simulation outputs with assumptions and constraints clearly stated.
